Overview
About Me
A 27-year-old environmentalist with a passion for sustainable development at local levels, glaciology and paleoclimate, and loving our planet as much as possible! I'm an American national and I love learning about and experiencing other cultures - especially through cuisine. Hope to experience and adventure across as much of the world as I can while I'm here :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Friends recommended it after incredibly positive experiences traveling through Western Europe - I'd love to get the local's inside perspective while traveling, make connections across the globe, and meet amazing people!

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm into funk, ska, big bang/New Orleans-style brass, punk, bluegrass, and any combination of the above. Also Motown/50s/60s.
Don't want too many movies these days, but love going to see a horror movie in the theater haha. Favorites? Big Fish, Edward Scissorhands, Stand By Me.
I am getting back into reading for pleasure after years of strictly scientific journal articles. Send recommendations!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2016, I hiked the Appalachian Trail - that's backpacking 2200 miles over 5 months, from Georgia to Maine!
