About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel until September 2011 and keep doing my blog/online diary everyday. Whilst learning Spanish!

ABOUT ME

For the past two years I ran a online business. However I have always had the urge to travel and felt it was time to take that step and go for it.

My journey started in Thailand, continued through Laos and down Vietnam where I am currently based. Next it's back to Bangkok for Christmas and New Years before I head to Hong Kong.

Following that it's Japan, Australia, New Zealand and finally South America.

My main objective from travelling is to learn Spanish. Having spent my birthday this year in Valladolid with friends I realised how much I like the culture and how it would open up a huge window of opportunity in South and Central America.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm still working on this! The more I travel the more I learn...

The one thing I have figured out is that you never stop learning! - D

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment it isn't possible for me to participate with the hosting side of Couch Surfing. However before I ever heard about CS I would often host friends from oversea's to save them money on accommodation.

I have made many friends already on my travel's and have given them contact's at home and elsewhere to aid them once they arrive in a new country.

I firmly believe having a local contact and someone to know in a new country add's to your experience tenfold!

When I return to England I will actively participate in hosting.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When in Spain I stayed at my friend Frodo's house. He put me and my friend Jonny up whilst the Valladolid Festival was taking place.

It was the best way to celebrate my birthday and see how Spain party's!

For New Years 2009/10 me and Jonny also surfed in Amsterdam. A girl I know Carmen arranged for us to stay at a friends apartment for the weekend.

These are just two of many experiance's which made me convinced how much more fun it is to CS and how well it can work!

Interests

My main interest's are travelling and learning Spanish at the moment. As I have mentioned previously I am also writing a blog/diary of my travels as I go along.

When at home I love to play football and keep fit by playing as much as I can.

To keep in shape whilst I've been travelling I have trained at Muay Thai camp and intend to do something similar in each of the country's I can.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love allsort's of music and love seeing movies from around the world.

Unfortunately though my iPod broke before I started my journey so I've been with out music for over three months now!!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are many thing's that stick out in my mind but the Halong Bay trip was certainly a experience I will not forget in a long time...

Teach, Learn, Share

Never judge a book by it's cover... Everyone has something to offer and you can learn a lot from the people around you.

Countries I’ve Visited
