About Me
ABOUT ME
Optimistic, curious, happy.
I love to get involved and apply for projects where I can meet as many internationals as possible. The more people I meet, the more I realize how lovely this world is and how friendly and good we can be. Sometimes, when I don't get the chance to travel, I turn to one of my favourite books, "kiss bow or shake hands" and read a chapter.
More about me:
- I volunteered in Serbia in 2010 (AIESEC)
- I attended several international summer projects and schools (mainly related to economics) both in Romania and abroad
- I volunteered in Aspire for Education last summer (www.aspireacademy.ro), helping with the organization of the summer school
- I work in AchieveGlobal Romania
- I study Risk Management in International Business
(for more info please ask for my CV. It's the only document that keeps up with all the things I do.. :) )
Last but not least, I'm trying to learn how to become a better person each day. Usually, people that I meet when I travel (or when they travel to my country) teach me so much about life, values, kindness and give me lots of creative ideas.
PHILOSOPHY
i like this:
"one's mind, once stretched by an idea, never regains its original dimensions"

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have joined CS at the end of 2012 but my experience with hosting people is a few years older. When I was 17, I attended an international summer school with volunteers from the UK. After the project, some of them stayed at my house in Bucharest. It was really nice!
Moreover, when I did my internship in Belgrade in 2010, I hosted someone who was attending a conference in the city. I was expecting someone from Russia (as I was told). The guy knocked at my door. He was looking Russian and he also knew a lot of things about Sankt Pet, as he had lived there for a few weeks. We kept talking for about two hours and we had so much to share! But at some point, nothing made sense anymore in my head. He was talking a lot about Serbia, too. Soon, I mean after 2 hours, we both realized the misunderstanding. It was reaaally funny when he told me that he was acctually Serbian. We still talk from time to time and I will never forget that funny moment :)
