About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Obtaining my Masters

ABOUT ME

It is hard to catch me anywhere. Since 2004 I have lived in 8 different countries and my next trip is already booked. That is probably the most distinct feature about my life.

Besides, I am into pathogens. Yes, that's right. I enjoyed my first malaria very much. This weird characteristic probably explains why I am a Health Science major.

What else? I have dreads, like Reggae, lived in Amsterdam but I don't smoke weed. Stereotypes are amazing, though.

If people had to describe me they probably tell you that I am evil, bossy, pessimistic, negative and mean. But somehow they stick around. So apparently I must have some traits that counterbalance my Germaness (that's the term I use to summarize my dark side).

PHILOSOPHY

There is always a solution.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I had my first CS experience in France when a Dutch girl stayed at my place. I had such a great time with her. This experience convinced me of the project. I hosted a few more times but didn't really get around to host regularly (since I move around so much and often stayed with host families) or surf myself (although I met the most amazing people indirectly through CS in Nigeria). I think CS is more than just staying somewhere. For me, it is getting in touch with like-minded people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosted three times and met people for drinks a couple of times.

Interests

Everything in my life becomes more and more centered around Africa. I have lived in Cote d'Ivoire for a year, stayed 10 weeks in Nigeria, and worked in Ghana for 17 weeks. Every time I return to this beautiful continent I feel somehow alive.
Moreover, I am really into my studies. I loved doing my Liberal Arts and Science degree in Amsterdam where I focused on Public Health and International Relations. It was such an enriching experience and I wished I could have stayed longer.
Other than that I love maximizing my time, organizing and structuring. So German of me, I know :S
