About Me
What I do:
I'm currently living in Ulm, Southern Germany, and studying Molecular Medicine, which is about medical research. It probably sounds more fancy than it is, but I like it. And I am veeery much enjoying free student life (and yet ignoring that it will soon be over...)
What I also do:
Trying to find time for various friends, various hobbies and various travel plans (and often wondering why a day is only 24 hours long)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's kinda self-explanatory: meeting people, sharing stories, experiences, and places to live, what more could you want? :) Once I've been to Cape Town and met up with so many nice people via Couchsurfing Hangout, it was amazing, I did not at all feel like a stranger in the city! However, the actual hosting/visiting I have not yet been able to try. My current apartment does unfortunately not enable me to host couchsurfers. But I am definitely willing to go out and meet everyone who wants to meet me :)
Interests
- Outdoor Sports: paddling, hiking, climbing, biking, skiing, canyoning,...
- Dancing, mostly salsa and west coast swing, but also all other standard and latin dances. Or freestyle ;)
- Singing, playing guitar, preferably at a bonfire...
- Reading
- Meeting people. If international, even better. Sharing stories, food, wine.
- Needless to mention: Travelling. Favorite places so far: Sweden, the Alps (South Tyrol!), Southern and Eastern Africa. Some of my next ideas include backpacking in Central Asia, hiking or cycling along some of Europe's long-distance trails, and spending time somewhere (South Africa?) where I can improve my yet-not-really-existent surfing skills :D
- Having chocolate, coffee, and a hammock :-)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Paddling through Sweden's wilderness for six weeks, with nothing but canoes and tents. Drinking water from the lake, cooking on the bonfire, sleeping under the stars. Realizing that civilization is not as omnipresent as it sometimes seems.
