About Me

Well, let me introduce myself as the person behind this profile. Nice to meet you! My name is Aline, I am Brazilian and 30 years old. I am a psychologist working remotely while traveling. I am writing this message from Morocco. Since I left Brazil six months ago, I have been traveling with another free soul who, like me, loves exploring the world. His name is Giovanni, he is Italian and 34 years old.

We met in Brazil, in Florianópolis, a year ago, and since then, we have been planning and carrying out this journey that is happening now. He is a surveyor and also works remotely while traveling. In fact, he has visited significantly more places than I have! What we have in common is our love for meeting new people and experiencing different cultures. We are living a nomadic life.

In the last six months, we have traveled through Italy, Croatia, Bosnia, Albania, Greece, Bulgaria, Serbia, and Morocco. At the moment, I am writing this message from a hostel in Taghazout. Our next planned destination is England.

Individually, we have had experiences with volunteering, pet sitting, art restoration, agriculture, and harvesting. We enjoy deep conversations, sharing experiences, and immersing ourselves in the local cultures wherever we go.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We believe in the power of human connections and the idea of cultural exchange. Couchsurfing gives us the opportunity to meet amazing people, experience places through the eyes of locals, and share unique moments with hosts and travelers.

We are also the kind of travelers who don’t just want to be tourists—we want to engage in real social exchanges. We know this is the essence of Couchsurfing because when you open your home, your personal space, it’s an act of trust and generosity. We truly value this experience.

If you enjoy talking, I believe we could have long conversations about:

Traveling and discovering hidden places; Art and culture; Anthropology; Psychology; History and architecture; Outdoor adventures; Meeting people from different backgrounds; Cooking (we love it! And Gio is Italian—maybe a homemade pasta?)

But more than anything, we love experiencing the local cuisine of the places we visit, learning about traditional dishes, and, most importantly, listening! I am always open to learning new skills and embracing new experiences.

Mainly having connections with real lives.

Music, Movies, and Books

🎵 Music:
We enjoy a wide variety of music styles. Being Brazilian, I love our rich musical diversity, but I also listen to a broad range of international genres. Gio has a very eclectic taste too, from Italian music to global hits. I'll share our Spotify profile here: Spotify.

🎬 Movies:
We love movies that tell great stories, especially those based on real-life events. We enjoy independent cinema and period films, as well as movies that explore our home countries’ cultures. For us, watching a film is an opportunity to gain cultural insight.

📚 Books:
I have a strong reading habit, and I love having books in my life. I enjoy everything from psychology and psychoanalysis to novels and biographies. Gio, on the other hand, is an avid reader who prefers books on politics, history, and architecture.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For me, traveling the world has undoubtedly been the most incredible thing I have ever done, and it all started with my volunteering experiences. Gio shares this perspective and values the immense knowledge and personal growth that come from connecting with people from different cultures.

Teach, Learn, Share

🧑‍🏫 Teaching: We can share knowledge about art, travel experiences, and cooking techniques.

📖 Learning: We love learning new languages, local traditions, and whatever else comes our way.

🤝 Sharing: We enjoy great conversations, exchanging travel tips, and helping out however we can. We also understand and respect personal boundaries and privacy.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can share our travel stories, cultural insights, and, of course, a good sense of humor. We love exchanging experiences, cooking together, and even helping with small household projects if needed. But most importantly, we bring open hearts and a deep appreciation for hospitality and cultural exchange.
