learning to listen
I am a grad student at UBC in the environmental engineering department. A day in my life right now involves waking up, shoving some food down my throat, going to work for my town and doing all sorts of important things for the environment, riding my bike to my garden for a watering and weeding, riding my bike to the grocery store, coming home and cooking dinner for two).
Other things I think are really great and I try to fit into the daily routine: stopping in randomly at friend's houses to say hello
playing my flute
reading a book at a café with a great cup of coffee
talking to people about international development
talking about water and poop
work hard, play hard, and eat lots of icecream

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ghana was eye-opening and completely awesome. Ate goat meat, took a picture with crocs, and learned to carry water on my head, and gained some perspective.
