ABOUT ME
I love the principle of this kind of network, how it makes your approach to a new place so much more interesting ans so much less touristic-like, how it creates link between people. This is really precious and shoud stay between people's hands
I mean if someone would have told me fifteen years ago: "there is gonna be this thing you can go to, it's a network of people willing to host you anywhere in the world at their places, you host people too and you will access this network through something called the internet"
I would have called it an utopia. So I think this is a dream that came true, and show how internet can link people when it is used for such a beautiful project.
Also I often thought if you are nice with someone, maybe you don't receive something right away in return, but this person is gonna pass it to somebody else who's gonna pass it to somebody else... I see kindness, joy and love as a chain. I think that's what this network is about: you enyoy staying at somebody's place and then you will give it back at some point by hosting somebody else. Or you host somebody and give something from you, and sometimes you'll be a guest. It's a bit like hitch-hiking. It's a bit like a smile.
whatever...
I think life is a gift, not a burden,
it's a fragile thing and we should enjoy it and celebrate it.
I intend to live my life with having no regrets at all, go where I feel like going, do what I feel like doing, and build my life every day out of any premade paths.
I try to enlarge my prospectives and my world all the time, staying away from what they call the norm.
Any alternative ways of life allowing human to live along with the nature and not against it interest me. Permaculture has therefore all my attention since I think it is our way of life in its globality we have to rethink and not only part of it.
I've done a lot of wwoofing these past two years, mostly in south west of France and a bit in Scandinavia. It allowed me to meet fantastic people, get knowledge about organic farming and alternative ways of living, building, eating, growing, dealing with our waste, getting water and energy....
My other passion is animation. I made myself few animated sequences but what I enjoy the most is sharing this art through more or less formal workshops, screening some of my favourite movies or just talking about it. Cinema in general interests me a lot and I've worked twice for the reykjavik international film festival, enjoying it a lot.
You can have a look to my little films there: http://vimeo.com/aniloe/videos
I am into free software too, this movement interests me a lot and as a computer user I use only free programs.
I am interest in all movements of re-appropriation, everything that makes us actives instead of being a simple spectator, customer.
