About Me
Hello! :) I’m a scientist from Latvia (PhD Biol.), working as a lead researcher in one of the main Latvian medical universities. But apart from that, I’m just a very optimistic and curious person, love the World, love the people, love adventures, new experiences and new points of view!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The best way of travelling is meeting new people. I think that its impossible to fully discover for yourself a new destination in the world without interacting with the people that inhabit this destination. Communication is the best way of getting new thoughts and ideas.
I've been volunteering in Iceland last summer - this is where I learned that there is no better way of travelling other than making new friends in the place you travel to.

Music, Movies, and Books
I grew up listening to Marilyn Manson, then my favourite band for a long time were Skinny Puppy. I love Ninja Tune record label - they really do record some very cool artists) Nowadays I listen to lots of different music starting from psychedelic rock , all kinds of electronic music, jazz, blues, omg I love music =D
I watch almost everything that hits the screens and also I love small underground art-house movies. And I love science fiction. Yes, I think its my favourite genre)
Apart from all kinds of fiction and science fiction i like reading psychological literature and popular-science literature. Recently red Stanislav Groff book about holotropic breathwork - well, maybe its not really popular science, but I found it to be great material for deep thinking about the world =)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2022 and 2023 together with a crew of likeminded people (my creative community, Saulart.lv) I was organising electronics music festival in raw Latvian nature, in the forest by the beach. Probably, to this day, it was the most difficult and the most fulfilling thing I’ve done in my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I gain new knowledge and experience all the time. I think that every day must bring you something new. Only then we feel that we are living. And sharing - is a key point here. Knowledge has to be shared, otherwise it is not being used.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I've got a lot of interesting knowledge and skills I can share! =)
