About Me
Hello Couchsurfers!
Here’s Alisa from Sicily, the magic island where I’ll possibly get you to have a little taste of some very authentic Mediterranean vibes.
After having spent several years abroad traveling, studying and working, I currently feel like it is time for me to be the “still” local who - more than ever - is there to raise people’s curiosity for some part of the world and thus, to grow a sense of trust and fellowship among global communities .
I left Sicily when I was 19 with the sole intention to live “my” very personal journey throughout myself and my surrounding world. Over this time I graduated in Drama, Art, Music and Media Studies, I got a Master Degree in Innovation and Culture Management, I worked as a consultant and Blablabla ...
I thought that those storyline markers were somehow the beginnings or endings of something bigger, something I could always keep track of. Thanks God over my journey I could learn that there are not such things as starting or ending points. Currently to me, it all looks like a never ending process where everything is connected and everybody too.
I really have the feeling that we all are into a journey that flows as a whole and in such flow encounters of any sort are what matters the most. That’s why I want people to feel welcome to cross their path with mine and make their journey become ours whenever it is worth to.
“The door is open”.
(Goliarda Sapienza)
And while I’m in Sicily unpacking my boxes and starting up a little business (you should really come to hear what kind of adventure I’m currently into) I’ll try to get us to live our encounter as intensely as possible.
Fun and nature are the master laws!
So what’s my mission, now?
LIVE: Enjoy what I love and also what I don't!
The journey is the key to this and for this reason, I want to believe that I will meet very soon many of the travelers of life out there :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Alice, Mauro, Elde, Jean-Francois, Christian, Alex, Javier, Ryler, Kostantina, Domenico, Stefano, Laure, Costanza, Emanuel, Nuno, Gonçalo, Florian, André, Yuri, Kavi, Mikhail, Emilie, Robert, Martin, Antonio, Rui, Alexandra, Dieter, Andreas, Mario, Ibrahim, Tyrone, Efrat, Neomi, Wolfgang ... they are the reasons why I'm on couchsurfing!
Couch surfing is not only a way to meet travelers or locals or whatever; I use to define it as a tool to experience connection and trust among people. I don't look for a local tour guide... I look for getting to know a little corner of other's life ;)
(of course, trying to be respectful!)
IMPORTANT: I tried for the first time couchsurfing some years ago and I immediately loved this "tool". Unfortunately, I noticed that the spirit has been changing since then. Nevertheless, I still find it powerful and I have met wonderful people through it, that's why I want to remind you that:
1) this is not a dating website, sorry, you better use any other app!
2) this is not a hostel booking platform. Please, personalize your request by writing personally to me. Use the secret word “odoiporikós” or at least do not copy/paste requests or do not write only “I need a place where to sleep”, please 🙏🏼
