My husband Steve and I, and our 15 year old son Tom, live in Auckland, New Zealand. I am a kiwi who travelled to the UK in the 80's and brought Steve back to my homeland in the late 90's.

We have our own lovely home and thoroughly enjoy travelling when we are not otherwise working! We ski in winter and hike and relax near the sea in summer while in NZ, or travel overseas, in our spare time. We are well travelled people who enjoy meeting others.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

We are new to couchsurfing. It seems a great way to meet people and we would be happy to share our home in turn with others.

Please note our lives are busy and we are happy to respond to specific accommodation requests so PLEASE USE OFFICIAL COUCH REQUESTS when contacting me. We are not in a position to respond to generic messages. Also I am unable to respond to requests for information about NZ (the Internet is a great search tool!) or friend requests from people unknown to me. We are happy to have people genuinely travelling for a few nights.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Spending 6 months trekking in Northern Pakistan, travelling up the Karokaram Highway into China - crossing glaciers roped together, watching eagles soar at the top of a mountain in Northern India, rafting for 10 days down the Sun Kosi river from Nepal into India, had Tom....so many fabulous experiences.
