About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make the most of everything!

ABOUT ME

Hmmm I was struggling with this so asked for help.
Paul asked me to describe myself in 3 words...
I said
NOT. ENOUGH. WORDS...
I don't like being judged, I especially don't like judging myself!
Mum says I'm caring and thoughtful...

PHILOSOPHY

Just go for it. Seriously, what's the worst that can happen?? Oh... And do it with a good grace.
Treat others as you would want to be treated yourself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am entering this project as a long term way to help myself and others make the most of our free time. I begrudge expensive, rip off accommodation!! I want to be part of helping everybody access the world and make the most of it, seeing and experiencing other countries and cultures. I also think if you are staying with someone who lives there, you get a much better view and the trip can be attached to happy memories of meeting new people. Although at the moment I don't have anywhere for people to stay I would love to meet new people and show them around. As soon as it's appropriate for me to host, I will definately make my place available.
My parents have my bedroom at home up on couchsurfing for anyone who wants to visit the peak district, and stay in a lovely warm house :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A wonderful few days in Paris with an amazing host

Interests

I am open minded to anything anyone has to offer! I am always up for trying new things, and I am a great believer that with the right people absolutely anything can be enjoyed.
I love dancing (technically and going for a dance at night!), music, reading, cooking, laughing, the outdoors, wine, following the sunshine, camping, cycling, redecorating, I thrive from being with lots of people but also love to have some time alone to have space and do my own thing.

Music, Movies, and Books

LOVE music- tracy chapman, arcade fire, guillemots, fleet foxes, flook, bon iver, the acorn, richard thompson, drum and bass to dance to, some pop tunes when they have good memories, ... the list GOES ON AND ON...I definately have my favourites but love to hear new stuff. Music depends on mood, company and situation of course :)
LOVE books- favourites captain corelli's mandolin, this book will save your life, little women, death at intervals, midnight's children... love it when people suggest books. It makes me much more positive about the book from the start...
Doooon't really love movies, but can watch them every now and again

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Snowboarded with friends in the Himalayas. Waking up, unzipping the tent and watching the sun rise behind the peaks... Unforgetable.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to do all 3- they are of equal importance. I like to think you can learn something from everyone, and have something valuable for someone else to take. It's a cliche, but it's true!

Countries I’ve Visited
