PHILOSOPHY

I try to pause every once in a while and make sure I am where I want to be and I am truly happy. If I discover that I am not, I make some changes instead of complaining about it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I am homeless in Valencia, so I can't offer to host CS guests. I'm moving to Chicago at the end of this summer, though, so maybe I can change my status once I have bought a couch there!

I love traveling, of course, running, bicycling, exploring new places, art, architecture, photography, live music, trying new foods, enjoying a few drinks with friends, meeting new people, learning about different cultures and ways of life/thinking...

音乐、电影和书籍

I like lots of books, music, and movies. Russian literature is my favorite. As for music, I can appreciate everything from hip-hop to house to folk/hippie music to rock to classical to jazz and blues. My favorite artist is Nina Simone. For movies, I love the classics--especially anything Audrey Hepburn--and independent/foreign films.

I know a lot about English--more than I'd like to, really--since I used to be an editor in New York and now I am an English teacher in Valencia. I know some Spanish but appreciate any chance to practice and improve mine. I can give advice for people who want to travel to the U.S., since I've seen a lot of it and lived in a few different cities...and also for Valencia, now that I've been here for a year!
