ABOUT ME

Music lover, walker/bicycler, listener/talker, coffee-drinker, ambivalent smoker, lover and traveler with an unfortunate proneness to laziness. In short, I like wine picnics.

I'm newer to the travel scene. I never really liked travelling when I was younger (mostly because I was forced to spend extended periods of time in tight quarters with my family), but as I've grown up I've come to really enjoy travelling. I especially like meeting new friends with whom I can explore, party, talk, eat, and relax.
I reached the height of my newly discovered interest in travel in 2010 as a rising college senior. I realized that I had little to show for my college years besides good grades, good friends and an anxiety disorder. I hadn't really DONE that much. I was sitting on my couch when then smoke cleared (literally). After four years of too much weed (really, there CAN be too much), which left me lazy and apathetic, I decided it was time for a change. Now I'm living thousands of miles away in Istanbul, Turkey and working as an English teacher. It's great, and I plan to continue travelling on whatever limited budget I have after I graduate in May.

At this point my roommates and I have only hosted surfers, but I plan to kickstart my surfing experiences while I'm in Europe.
