ABOUT ME

I'm a graduate student in the Boston area and I love to travel. Sometimes I do it for fun and others I do it for research presentations.....ok, it's always for fun :-) I've spent a good part of my life around Boston and would love to be able to show people around and possibly offer a couch. I love meeting new and interesting people!

Well, I offer my couch, my guidance, and my mind. Just be kind to the latter ;-)

I'm a PhD student and also travel often, myself, so I may not always be able to accommodate. But, if you're coming to Boston, send me a message and if I'm able to host you, I will! Or even if you want a guide around the city or want to grab a coffee and chat.

Music: I play guitar...so anything that is guitar driven, or simply played with heart and soul, I'll probably dig. I love many types though, just as long as it's genuine ....Bob Dylan, Velvet Underground, Black Sabbath , Zeppelin, MC5, T.Rex, Byrds, Pink Floyd, Television, Stones, Hendrix, Iron Maiden, The Stooges, Robert Johnson, Miles Davis, Pavement, Segovia, Tool, White Stripes, Beethoven, Neil Young, Ravi Shankar, Frank Zappa, Grateful Dead, Tom Waits, Silver Jews, Soft Machine, Mozart, Sinatra, Megadeth, ect. I just love music and would be equally comfortable listening to Mozart at BSO as I would in a mosh pit at a Slayer concert. I especially have a thing for the Blues.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm an information sponge and I'm open to learning anything you have to teach....well, almost anything!

In return, I'm fairly knowledgeable when it comes to science and philosophy. I'm working on the literature part :-) I'm also a bit of a bibliophile and have a small library here...you're welcome to borrow. Aside from the academic, I was once a mechanic and know a good deal about engines, I practice martial arts, meditation, play guitar and some other instruments, love to cook, a bit of a tech geek, and I have plenty of travel stories to share!
