About Me

Hello everyone!

My name is Allan, I’m 24 years old and I come from Belgium — more precisely from the city of Namur!

I’m currently a music student, in my final year of training to become a music theory teacher (what we call “solfège” 🎶). Alongside my studies, I’m also a singer, choir conductor, and pianist. I’m truly passionate about all things music, especially choral singing — I actually conduct four choirs!

Besides music, I love cooking, meditation, traveling, discovering new countries and cultures, and of course, meeting new people!

I’m also a big fan of walking, running, and hiking.

I would describe myself as a social, kind, and caring person. 😊 I believe kindness is one of the most important values in any human relationship.

I’m really excited to explore the world and make great connections through Couchsurfing!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing because I want to discover the world and travel with my backpack. Someone recommended this app to me as a great way to meet open-minded and kind people who are willing to host travelers during their journey.
I think it’s a wonderful way to experience a country from a more authentic perspective — through its people, their stories, their way of life… and meaningful human connections!

Music, Movies, and Books

I’m really easy-going, and honestly, I’d have a hard time choosing a favorite movie, series, or song — haha! I’m curious and open to anything.

When it comes to music, I especially enjoy classical, baroque, and gospel music… but I’m always up for discovering new genres!

As for movies, I like horror, action, adventure, and thrillers. Nothing beats a good movie to unwind after a long day. 😊

And when it comes to books, I really enjoy those about personal development. I love learning, reflecting, and trying to grow a little every day.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

During a trip to Poland with a friend, we met a local woman who kindly welcomed us into her home so we could warm up a meal. It was a simple but meaningful moment, just before leaving the country. That experience really inspired me to travel differently — by meeting people and sharing authentic connections.

Teach, Learn, Share

What I can teach:
I can share my musical knowledge — music theory, singing, piano, and choir conducting if you’re interested!
I also enjoy cooking — especially dishes with legumes or some simple recipes from Belgium.
Of course, I’m happy to help with cleaning or daily chores too.

What I’d love to learn:
I love discovering new cultures, languages, traditions, and ways of life. I’d love to learn local recipes, hear life stories, or pick up a few words in different languages.
I’m always curious to learn more about people, the books that inspire them (especially around personal development), or the music they enjoy.

What I can share:
Kindness, good energy, real conversations, homemade meals, musical moments… and a helping hand when needed!
And of course, I’m always open to offering or learning other things too — I believe the best exchanges come naturally through connection.
