I spend most of my free time outside, I love hiking, camping, and mountain biking in the parks around me.
I also enjoy reading, painting, climbing, and drinking beer on patios and/or rooftops.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am determined to experience the world outside of the norm. I want to meet new people and experience local culture. I have learned so much about myself over the last two years traveling and I am ready to keep learning and challenging myself in new ways. I have been loosely exploring travel choices for the next couple months, and I want to keep all of my options open.

I have been sailing the Caribbean for the last year, just got back to the states a few weeks ago from St Thomas I am hanging around Fort Lauderdale area now looking for work. Hoping to make some friends in the process!

I have a weakness for nostalgic movies and bad comedy. I couldn't narrow down my favorite artists if i wanted to. My most recent spotify listens include MF Doom and Aesop Rock, Halsey, Alessia Cara, Alison Wonderland, Avicii, Kendrick, The Animals, Marion Hill, Kygo, Tame Impala, Gorillaz, Bon Iver, Hozier, Janelle Monae, and Maluma. I generally gravitate towards music that fits my mood. I love reading different perspectives of historical events, fantasy fiction, and epics.

Teach, Learn, Share

Gymnastics was a huge part of my life growing up and I was able to reconnect with the sport during college. I volunteered at the Bloomington YMCA and Boys and Girls Club teaching basic, intermediate, and advanced classes. My groups ranged in ages from 5-14 and taught me more about patience and endurance than I learned in over 10 years of competing. I loved being able to share my joy for the sport and to teach them about movements of the body and the importance of a healthy lifestyle. The outlook I gained from working with this team and community has helped me realize more about who I want to be as a person, and as a role model.
