Hi, I’m Allan. I work as a tour guide here in Costa Rica. My job is not just about spotting wildlife but also about telling the stories behind the rainforest, the ocean, and the people who live here.

I live a simple life close to nature, and I love sharing it with others. When I’m not guiding tours, I enjoy going for walks, cooking simple meals, practicing languages, and spending time with my family. I run a small tour company with my brother and sister, so you’ll probably meet them too.

I enjoy learning from travelers as much as showing them my home. If you stay with me, expect long conversations, language exchange (you help me with your language, I help you with Spanish), and plenty of time outdoors.

Sometimes I’m away guiding tours for a few days, but when I’m home, my door is open.

I joined Couchsurfing because I believe the best way to travel is through people, not just places. I enjoy meeting travelers, hearing their stories, and sharing mine.

For me it’s not about free accommodation, it’s about connection. I like the idea of sitting down over coffee, cooking together, or walking around the village while exchanging languages and experiences.

As a tour guide I meet people every day, but Couchsurfing feels different. It’s more personal, more real, and that’s what I’m looking for.

I can teach you Spanish, share stories about Costa Rica, and show you how to spot wildlife like monkeys, birds, or even frogs at night. I also love to dance and can teach you some Latin moves if you want to try.

I’d like to learn more German, English, or French through natural conversation. I’m curious about different cultures, cooking styles, and any new skills travelers bring with them.

What I love to share is simple daily life: cooking together, long walks, music, and time outdoors.
