ABOUT ME

I have a degree in Spanish literature, another in film, and I teach English and do freelance translation in Madrid. I suppose I'm kind of Northeast neurotic, but that's been tempered by my time in free-wheeling Spain. I believe in serendipitous accidents.

PHILOSOPHY

Tough to narrow down! I believe in taking risks and seeking out adventure. I also think altruism has made for a very charmed life for me.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new(isn) to this. I'd love to host people at my place. Right now I'm interested in meeting people, continuing to build on a fantastic network of friends I have across the globe.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've done lots of 'unofficial' couch surfing, but not yet using this site.
Whenever I travel I end up staying with friends or with a friend of a friend, and vice versa.
I've hosted all sorts of people in my different apartments: French acquaintances getting to know Madrid, American college pals visiting Europe for the first time, people put in touch with me via coworkers...
