I'm an actor and therefore a generally nomadic human.
I grew up in Wisconsin (GO PACK GO!), went to school in Minnesota, and have worked in Utah, Wyoming, Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, and Virginia.
I'm currently working at a terrific Shakespeare company in Virginia, and I'm proud to be making a living doing the thing I love.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love fartsy artsy music and Americana with cultural roots (irish, new orleans jazz, soul), also musicals: Punch Brothers, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, Dust Bowl Revival, Johnny Flynn, the Bengsons, Natasha Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812.

Movies: I like most of them, but i find them harder to watch than plays.

Books: have finally started reading again after a hiatus of only-reading-plays-for-work-because-it's-practical. Recently, I've loved the Nix, Artemis, and Rosalind: a biography of Shakespeare's Immortal Heroine (yep. shakespeare nerd).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once started a theater company that produced unrehearsed, slightly tipsy shakespeare in bars in Minneapolis. It still exists, I just moved so I had to pass on the crown to my successors. They're doing a bang-up job and I'm very proud of them.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'll speak you a sonnet, sing you a song, or tell you a story.
I also love picking out presents (especially if you give me a hint as to something that you love--a roast of coffee, type of flower, or delicious baked good. If you don't, I'll have a guess and if you hate it you can regift it or chuck it).
