I grew up outside of Washington, D.C. and have lived in New York, New Orleans, and now Los Angeles. I am studying for my doctorate in art history, and I am writing my dissertation on indigenous art from Mexico. I love traveling, learning languages, and meeting new people.

This is my first Couchsurfing adventure, but I wanted to try it because of the great experiences that good friends of mine have had. Meeting new people, making friends in other countries, and learning about other countries and cultures are what drew me to Couchsurfing.

I love lots of different types of music, but some of my favorites are Joni Mitchell, Paul Simon, and Van Morrison. I also love Jorge Luis Borges, Virginia Woolf, and J.M. Coeztee.

My most amazing trip was to Yunnan Province during the summer I lived in China. I went hiking with two friends in the countryside, and we stayed in a tiny town built on the side of a mountain. It was one of the greenest and most beautiful places I've ever been.

The thing that brought me to work on studying art history was my love for learning about other cultures, traditions, and languages. I love sharing stories from what I've gathered through my travels, studies, and experiences. What I like even more is hearing stories from others and learning from them.
