About Me

CURRENT MISSION (updated June 10, 2017)

Redefining the term "rich" by pursuing (the unexplainably elusive but unbelievable fulfilling, pure and unadulterated) life experiences.

After quitting my engineering job in 2014 I've been on a series of adventures, living life to the fullest, and finding where I fit into this crazy world.

My latest adventure is also a job. I'm living north of Toronto by about 2 hours and south of Owen Sound by 40 minutes, in a beautiful cabin in the woods, helping the landowner to build his off grid timber frame house. If you want to come and join me up here, write me a heartfelt message. There's plenty of space for camping, and there's a few hikes in the area. Plus, there's a lot of time to just unplug from the world and plug into nature.
Here is my boss's Instagram where he shares progress of his house construction:

Life is truly amazing ~ I am grateful everyday to be alive :) ~ Travelling, especially long term no strings backpacking, was the most eye-opening experience of my life. Now I'm transitioning back to society, to finding a way to make a living by doing something I'm passionate about.

My main motivation in life is learning and growing. I am philosophical, care deeply about the environment and am interested in alternative ways of living that are sustainable and community-oriented.

I am a fairly quiet guy and tend to avoid loud places such as bars and clubs. I enjoy casual conversations over a drink at home or on a mountaintop. I can discuss philosophy and ideas all day long - try me.

Learn - Grow - Inspire

I'm a nomad, ascetic, a wandering soul ~
On a fateful journey, figuring out my role ~
Seeking new experiences, near and far ~
Linked only by night sky, moon and star ~
Connecting with wonderful people and places ~
Communing with nature and open spaces ~
I will not stop, pause, stray or tire ~
In my quest to travel, share, love and inspire ~

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm available to host these days! I live in a cabin in the woods, so keeping that in mind, my amenities are very limited! Check my home description for more details.

I've been Couchsurfing since 2011. I've hosted, surfed, organized events, and participated in several.

I Couchsurfed lots through Europe for 10 months, some in the US, a few times in India, Nepal and Europe again. Went on an overnight trip with CSers into the Canadian Rockies, making and staying in houses made of snow!

I have a first world problem - I've got too many passions and ambitions, there's just not enough time for them all! Here are just a few: cooking, reading, documentaries, yoga, DIY, nice walks, brewing beer.

Anything outdoors, that expands my brain, and gets me out of my comfort zone! Specifically? Hiking, camping, cycling, running, skiing, thinking, travelling, etc.
