I'm a PhD candidate in Medieval Italian Literature. I study representations of the Islamic World in medieval Italian Literature (mostly Dante and Boccaccio) and the connections between literature and cartography.
My mother's family is from Naples but I grew up in New York.
I've been Muslim since 2008.
