Hello Hello !!

I am a 4th year study abroad student in Paris, France originally from the United States.

A little bit about myself…

My initial interest in French language and culture has developed into a much deeper intrigue and appreciation for experiencing other cultures, languages, and corners of this world! I chose to study abroad in France for this reason.

I have a sense for adventure, collecting memories and creating new experiences. If my friends had to describe me in a few words they would most likely say that I am respectful, friendly, conscientious, a deep-thinker and just someone who likes to laugh. Overall, I am easy going but to a degree I like certainty and planning.

I am approaching the end of my undergraduate studies for a bachelor’s in international business and a minor in Statistics. Even though I have studied Business, my real aim is to pursue a career in Actuarial Science while dabbling in culinary arts on the side!

Outside of my academics and professional career I hope to continue being able to plan or spontaneously go on trips to new cities and places, meeting new or familiar faces.

I have typically used Air Bnb, YesStudent, Hostels, etc. to get connected in a new city. Although recently, a friend introduced me to Couch Surfing! I joined because after hearing about the great experiences she has had and the wonderful connections she has made I thought why not give it a go !

I see this platform as a different way of connecting people from all parts of the world while removing the formality of making the basis of this connection a monetary exchange. Instead there is focus on more humanistic qualities that can be offered, discovered and shared with others.
