ABOUT ME

I'm a young professional, passionate about the environment and the outdoors. I'm driven, responsible, a people-person, and I like exploring. My word is very important to me, as integrity is the most respectable quality I see in myself and others. I love playing soccer, hiking, salsa dancing, and snowboarding. I tend to keep to myself a bit, until I get to know someone, and then stay quite loyal to my friends. I'm independent, avoid drama, and like to stay active.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I enjoy communal living, and sharing spaces with others. That being said, personal space is important to me - as I sometimes need a break to decompress and I respect that in others as well. Community involvement is especially important to me as a way to relate to our neighbors. I've surfed in Hawaii and Washington DC, and I host in Colorado as much as I can accommodate.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed unofficially a handful of times, and moved around quite a bit when I lived in Denver to get to know several neighborhoods (and myself). I've lived with several different housemates for varying lengths of time. I've been in my apartment now for over a year, so it's been easier to host this past year when people come to town. I enjoy hosting and having friends and family visit as well. I have surfed in DC and Hawaii, and now on my way to New Zealand hoping to connect with the community there.

Intereses

Coffee-brewing, good podcasts, music sharing, pick-up soccer, exploring, biking, hiking, dancing salsa, feminism, environmental policy, real estate, community development, land conservation, speaking spanish, craft beer, traveling.

Game of Thrones currently is all I can think about. I'm a new, obsessed fan....

That was a few months ago. Now, I'm in book-reading frenzy and just enjoyed "The Truth about Alice" and "The Night Circus" (mediocre) and "This is Where I Leave you."

I'm jumped off a bridge 3,000 m above a river in Banos, Ecuador (tied-in of course) and did a pendulum swing.
I've climbed ALL the 14ers in Colorado.
