I'm currently a junior at the University of Maryland spending my semester abroad in Nice, France. At school, I'm double majoring in French and psychology.

Right now, I'm living in a homestay in Nice. My host parents are a sweet retired couple. This being said, I am unable to host any guests.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Throughout my semester abroad, I plan to explore Europe, go on adventures and meet new people. I've heard and read about great couchsurfing experiences and I think the concept is fabulous!

Interests

When I'm not busy with school work, you could find me on the tennis courts or in a kitchen. I love to bake and cook and I even had my own cupcake business in high school. I could be stuck out in nature for days, as I love the outdoors, hiking, beautiful scenery and all that comes with that. I didnt bring my guitar with me to France, but I've been teaching myself for the past 5 years!

I am always listening to music. My current favorite playlists are filled with songs by Frank Ocean, Daughter, The Lumineers, Jess Glynne, Chance The Rapper and Alt-J.
Right now, I'm reading "Life of Pi" in French.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Back in high school, I organized a rebuilding trip to New Orleans. I put together a group of 13 students and 2 adults, booked airfare, hotels, planned excursions and activities and organized meals. We worked with the St. Bernard Project on our one week long rebuilding trip in the St. Bernard Parish.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I look forward to sharing my bubbly personality, my cooking skills, and my curiosity. I love that everyone all over the world has had such different experiences in their lifetimes, yet we often still share big things in common, whether they are small interests, big values, aspirations or skills.
