I hope to become a doctor

ABOUT ME

I love traveling and meeting new people! For now, I have been to Mexico, India, Singapore, and many cities within the United States. I am easy to get along with and enjoy learning about other cultures. I am currently pursuing a medical degree and hope to become a physician one day! I work as an Emergency Medicine Scribe and assist doctors in the emergency room as they see patients. I chart the patient interaction so doctors can spend more time focusing on the patient instead of the paperwork.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that the most important philosophy in life is to continue to become a better person. This can be achieved by being compassionate for others, holding yourself to a high degree so that you can learn and grow, and living in the present.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to CouchSurfing, but would be glad to host surfers in the future. My house is pretty spacious and close to San Francisco, Oakland, Berkeley, and other cities in the Bay Area.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have not yet Couchsurfed, but look forward to doing so during my upcoming trip to Brazil!

Interests

Playing sports with friends, spending time with family, and reading books. I enjoy meeting new people and getting to know them. There is still so much for me to see and do. I am very interested in education and constantly push myself to learn new things no matter what the subject matter is.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to Niagara Falls back in 2008. This was probably my most amazing experience to date because of how overwhelming it was to see such a massive amount of water concentrated in one area. Watching the falls at night was also an incredible experience because the falls were illuminated by lights of all colors!

Teach, Learn, Share

I would be more than happy to share what I have learned about Medicine thus far. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior and have a deep understanding of the mechanisms that underlie the organ systems of the human body and how they interact with one another. I am also happy to share my experiences in the Emergency Room and the kinds of patients I have seen. I would also love to exchange good books that I have read.
