This is my first time using Couchsurfing! I am a 24 year old bartender traveling through New York for a week! I'm from Minneapolis Minnesota and I can't wait to start this adventure of not knowing what is going to come next. I'm so excited to meet people and see the city through their eyes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My girlfriend at the time and I bought tickets to New York to spend new years and my birthday with her sister and brother that live there, but we just broke up and I can't refund or change my ticket so I am going to New York solo from december 29th until january 5th! I cant afford a hotel or anything so a lot of my friends who travel said this would be this best route and it would be a lot of fun and a great learning experience, plus its exciting! I have never traveled alone before.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have over come one of the hardest things a person has to deal with, death. My littler sister passed away from brain cancer back in 2011 and I have become a bigger, better, and stronger person because of her passing.
