I’ve done very little traveling in my lifetime. I only recently left the mid south for the first time this year. As a singer-songwriter, many of my aspirations bring me to new places to achieve wonderful opportunities. However, as I am still a broke college student, it is hard to afford some of these opportunities without the help of friends.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

In May, I went to the Music Biz Conference in Nashville where Hayley Williams of Paramore was running a panel. Prior to the panel, my friends and I waited outside the room until it began. While waiting, my friends prompted me to play a song on my ukulele, so I continued to play an original. Hayley Williams then walked out of the room and looked straight at me and said “hey” and waved. She then lead her entourage down the hallway to take some photos. I was shook. I had been listening to her music forever. As they began to walk back, Hayley Williams walks straight up to me, asks my name, asks if it was an original I was playing, compliments me, takes a pic with me, and leaves. I was shook. I was the only person she spoke to that day that wasn’t just as famous as her. You can find our pic in my folder.
