ABOUT ME

I am a 36 year-old Aussie guy that grew up in many different countries and that simply loves travelling. I am real easy-going guy, like meeting new people, and most of all having a good time!! I have travelled a lot around the globe, more than 100 countries, and have recently moved back to Australia to see what a regular, working life is like. Still have the travel bug as always, and always have ideas about new and cool places to visit.

Living life, travelling, meeting new people and taking advantage of every cool experience possible. Never a dull moment, and don't be a sheep like everyone else!!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Meeting up and staying with CS people when I travel and hosting when I can at home.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Travelled with a cool guy from Austria in the Dominican. Met up with a great family in Santiago de Cuba too. Went out with some couchsurfers in San Salvador for drinks and pool and met other CSers in Mexico. Couchsurfed in LA and Oakland on my USA trip. Met up with CS people in many other countries, including Maldives, Bangladesh, Japan, Oman, Iran, Georgia, Armenia, India, Belarus and so many more.

Centres d'intérêt

Rugby is my favourite sport, followed by cricket. Like all outdoorsy pursuits, including camping, hiking, fishing, rafting, mountain biking, etc.

Travelling, by far and away, is my favourite pastime/interest. I have traveled all of the Americas from top to bottom, virtually all of SE Asia and south Asia, most of the middle east, nearly all of of Europe and a trip through Morocco and West Africa. Other places include some Pacific islands and a lot of Australia.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Music - anything really, classic rock, house, hip-hop, latin music too after my time in Latin America.
Movies - Big fan of anything based on realism, dramas, advenutres, comedies too.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

My world highlight is climbing a difficult 5600m peak in the north Gokyo Valley near Mt Everest, Nepal, and having 360 degree panoramic views of the entire Everest range, two enormous glaciers and looking into Tibet.

Don't let anyone ever talk you out of travelling, its one of the best things you can do with your life, its not all about work, work, work!

Can share some pretty amazing travelling stories and plenty of advice about efficient, safe ways to travel. I'm also an expert on frugal travel and happy to impart my wisdom about that, but also how to travel all 4 corners of the globe safely as well.
