ABOUT ME

I'm a graduate student studying sustainable development in Central America this summer. I love gardening, climbing, sailing, and enjoy adventures, (if they don't make me late for supper). I'm interested in volunteering for a week to 2 weeks. I have several years of carpentry experience, including working with hand tools. I enjoy hard work and would be glad to lend a hand!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My neighbor has been part of the couchsurfing project for several years and has hosted a number of guests, with great luck. I like the idea of having a secure community of people around the world that can help each other.

Interests

I've had the chance to couchsurf a few times while traveling abroad. It's been a great experience that I would like to continue. I've also let folks sleep on my couch or in my backyard, though I've been super busy with grad school for the past two years.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was fortunate/unfortunate enough to actually see the tsunami while I was in Thailand. It was a completely bazaar and tragic event.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm interested in organic farming, travel, nonprofit work, small scale international development, responsible travel, rock climbing, river/ocean kayaking, and hiking.
I enjoy teaching people climbing and kayaking.
