Namaste! I’m Alok Mishra, Senior Consultant from Uttar Pradesh, India.
My work takes me across cities, mountains, and coastlines, as I study physical hazards and explore the geography that shapes our world. Somewhere along the way, traveling became more than just work — it became my way of life.

I’m the kind of guy who believes a good conversation can be better than Wi-Fi, a cup of chai can fix most things, and every city is a new story waiting to be lived.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me playing the guitar, cooking up a proper Indian chicken curry (yes, it’s spicy, but in a good way!), or just chilling with good music and great company.

I love meeting people who are open-minded, kind-hearted, and a little curious about the world — whether over a cup of coffee, a long walk, or sharing stories late into the night.
I carry a bit of “Atithi Devo Bhava” wherever I go — the Indian way of treating every meeting with warmth and respect.

I believe the real soul of a city isn’t in guidebooks; it’s in the stories shared over a home-cooked meal, a walk through local streets, or a casual conversation late into the night.

I’m all about music with versatile instruments and songs that have a deeper meaning. Bayaan is one of my favorite bands — their music has this beautiful mix of soul and raw emotion that I connect with. When I’m not lost in their tracks, you’ll find me strumming my guitar, letting the music tell its own story. But when it comes to Party I love Old Bollywood with Trap Mix tadka🎉

Movies
I enjoy films that challenge the mind or stir the heart. Tamasha and Rockstar are right up my alley — films that capture the complexity of identity and passion. I’m also into crime thrillers, the kind that keeps you at the edge of your seat. And then there’s Substance— a quirky masterpiece that makes you think, but in a very offbeat way.

Books
Books are my favorite escape. I love Hindi fiction for its rich storytelling and emotional depth. Crime thrillers keep me hooked with their twists and suspense, while spiritual books offer me moments of reflection and peace. I’ve been deeply moved by Osho’s philosophy — his perspective on life and love resonates with me. And if I’m in the mood for something more practical, Sadhguru has a way of putting things into perspective.

In the past two years, I’ve traveled across India, Hong-Kong, China, Nepal
— from the chaos of busy cities to the calm of forgotten villages — while immersing myself in some of the most beautiful fiction and non-fiction books.
It’s been a journey through landscapes on the outside and worlds within — and somewhere between the two, I found parts of myself I didn’t even know were missing

Teach:
I can teach you a few guitar chords (enough to impress at a bonfire!), how to make a real Indian-style chicken curry, and share some life lessons from my travels across India — including how to survive with just a backpack and a good sense of humor.

Learn:
I love learning about different cultures, languages, cuisines, and people’s unique life stories. Whether it’s a new recipe, a new song, or a new way of seeing the world — I’m always ready to learn.

Share:
