i like to draw comics, but i think that my skills could use some honing. so i'm trying to find ways to do that.

i am quiet, not like in a shy way, but rather in the way where my voice isn't very loud so it's hard to hear me sometimes. sorry in advance.

my personal philosophy is pretty contradictory and messed up, but i know that earthly pleasures play a pretty important role.

i am in the middle of hanging ten on divans and davenports across the country.

Interests

other than comics which are my first true love, i am mostly interested in movies, music, and books, all of which will be covered shortly.

when i say comics i don't really mean like superhero comics (not that i have anything against them!) i mean like off-beat, personal, or character-driven sort of things.

i have recently developed an interest in learning how to cook, and it's going pretty well. i'm not very good yet, but i have a lot of hope.

i have a great love for coffee.

Music, Movies, and Books

i like bands that feature singers with bad or weird voices and really strong lyrics, such as the mountain goats, lifter puller, mewithoutyou, or the indomitable tom waits. my favorite movies are Let The Right One In and Mulholland Dr. the best books i have ever read are Lolita by vladimir nabokov and Collected Fictions by jorge luis borges. i have read all seven harry potter books twice, okay. right now i am reading Infinite Jest, because i will be spending a lot of time riding buses over the next month and it is one million pages long.

anything worth doing is worth doing properly. if you're making coffee, or lunch, or putting together a chair, and you take your time and put some thought and effort into it, then the end result will be better. more than that, though, the process bestows a kind of significance onto the product and turns it into something worthwhile.
