Hey! I'm Alpkan, working with the humanitarian aid agency, my job takes me deep into the realities of people on the move, but outside of work, I’m just another human who loves connecting with stories, cultures, and new faces.

📍 While I'm technically based in Ankara — Türkiye’s unfairly underrated capital (no, it’s not just concrete and bureaucrats!), I’m often on the move, especially around different corners of Türkiye. Ankara’s got soul… you just have to know where to look (yes, we do have colors other than grey here, shocking, I know!).
🍲 I’m big on food — always try something new.

I’m here because I believe travel isn’t just about ticking places off a map, it’s about sharing meals, laughs, couches, and conversations with people you might have never met otherwise. Couchsurfing makes the world feel like a big, cozy living room and I like that.

Also… I don’t snore (probably), and I never say no to a local food recommendation or a deep 2AM chat about life, the universe, sports.
