ABOUT ME

Just moved to Lubbock from Salt Lake City, Utah. I used to be a ski bum I grew up a little bit and decided to go get my Masters here at Tech. I spend most of my time studying and grading papers. I will be here for two years, so far it isn't too bad just a little flat here.
School is my #1 priority, sometimes I get overwhelmed with school work and cannot host.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in Karma, and I'll try anything at least once. I am very open minded and nonjudgmental. I try to embrace everyone and their culture. However I have no tolerance for ignorance and stupidity.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love hosting people, or just hanging out with people who are visiting Lubbock or Salt Lake, I also surf. I'll be surfing in Chicago soon. I am very active in the SLC group, and starting to get involved in the Lubbock group.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted and surfed quite a few times I also just love to meet up with surfers in the area and show them around. I have made so many great friends through couch surfing. I am very active in the local CS community and attend as many events and such as much as I can. I like to ask my surfers to leave a little note or artwork for my fridge (this is an idea a stole from my friend Zak).

兴趣

Skiing, really anything outside (climbing, hiking, biking etc) All kinds music and playing music, Belly Dancing, good food and good drinks. I recently got my motorcycle license, I love riding my dirt bike.

The Beatles, Caroline Herring, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, Deadmau5, Daft Punk, I'm a dead head and a phish fan. I love folk and blue grass, techno, house, electronic, everything. Really I'll give any band or genre of music a chance. Bottom line I love music!

Shark fishing in New Zealand, we tied up some rope to the boat and caught our dinner.

Soccer game in Cuenca Ecuador was awesome so much fun watching a game with the locals.

I see amazing things everyday at my job, I spend the day at the top of a mountain with a view of over 60 miles.

I can show you some Belly dancing moves, and how to play a variety of musical instruments including the trumpet, didgeridoo, and drums.
I am new to Lubbock and I would love to explore the town with people.
I am a lover of wine and beer and would love to share my knowledge.
I teach an intro to anthropology class and if you want I can always give you a lecture :) (it might help you sleep)
