ABOUT ME

The fuel to my fire comes from having been fortunate to have crossed paths with so many beautiful souls in my life. Having travelled both at home in Canada and abroad, meeting others from near and far provides daily inspiration and I feel super grateful for that.

I love getting to know new people and sharing life stories and beliefs especially over a box of chocolate almonds or on a comfy mossbed in the forest. These days you can usually find me drinking tea, hanging out in the forest/mountains, nerding out about plants in the garden, watching live music or just enjoying the simple things in life. Having recently moved to the prairies I am still continuously discovering all the beauty this province has to offer- it really is a hidden gem and would love to share that with couchsurfers. It's not just flat as most Canadians think ;). I cannot currently host but am happy to connect with other travellers looking for advice or places to stay.

PHILOSOPHY

Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, define yourself.

I, a gypsy, lover forever of freedom, come with a tonic of sunlight bottled in wild careless acres.

Only when the last tree has died, the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realise we cannot eat money.

Have an addiction to reading wildlife/adventure biographies, folk rock new and old will always win me over, a bit of a country girl at heart but really anything goes. Mary Oliver is my favourite poet.

Musical jam sessions are always appreciated and encouraged!

Passionate about growing food that is sustainable- big interest in local food movement, food sovereignty and organic growing! Can learn and share with others: reiki, organic farming and some tasty chocolate baking recipes :)
