Music: Al Green, Calvin Harris, Funk, Soul and blues. But will list en almost anything really.

Books: Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy series and the Dirk Gently books, Douglas Adams was an absolute genius. Cloud Atlas, Night Circus, LOTR, Jonathon Strange. Song of Ice and Fire series.
