ABOUT ME

We are a young married couple enjoying life to the fullest, taking advantage of the fact that our professions allow us a means to to continue traveling the world and broadening our horizons.

Between the two of us you have one mellow, intelligent, pensive, stubborn, yet super considerate Spanish man; and one outgoing, straight-forward, energetic, creative, yet impulsive American lady. If you don't like one, odds are you'll like the other. That's a 50/50 chance! :) But don't worry, we won't hold it against you if you like one of us more than the other... :)

we also have a young son. so keep that in mind when surfing with us. obviously we would love other families to stay with us as well as singles but anyone who stays with us need to be tolerant of little ones.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have Couch-surfed together and apart in many regions of the world. we hosted for the 2 years we lived in turkey. we just moved back to Spain and look forward to hosting again soon!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Amber introduced Alvaro to CSing when they were dating so that they could travel/surf together. They have surfed the east coast of the United States together. Amber surfed her way through Europe with girlfriends after finishing college.

If you havn't caught on yet, you may have noticed that we are opposites in personality, but it doesnt end there. Most of our interests are opposite as well, but that doesn't keep us from being interested...or interesting for that matter. For that reason, anyone who surfs with us has a variety of things to talk about with us. The Man is more interested in all things technical and newsworthy. His passions include Flying flying flying, as most pilots seem to enjoy this....also travel, music, fútbol, paddle-tennis, spending time with his favorite people, playing UNO (Amber's version) with new people.The Lady tends to like more things pertaining to art, recreation, entertainment, literature and the like. Dancing, playing baseball/softball, and discovering new and yummy foods are highlightsTogether, we really like laughing....and languages. Mostly the opportunities they bring. Obviously the next language on the agenda is Turkish, which is very different than anything either of us has learned. The man has shown interest in learning German next....as for Amber, she may attempt something a little harder, maybe Korean...but lets not get ahead of ourselves, Turkish is no easy feat!...and I'm sure there's more but you will have to hang out with us to find out.

The Man: I have to be honest, I'm not much of a book reader...but I do love a good film and wonderful music.
> Good Films: Iron Man, Sixth Sense, Seven Pounds, Tesis, Air Bag.
> Good Music: Alejandro Sans, Elvis, Michael Jackson, Robbie Williams, Craig David.

The Lady: I LOVE to read. Normally when the man watches TV to wind down after a long day, I snuggle up against him with a good book, or my handy-dandy Kindle, while he watches the shows

Alvaro saw a space rocket launch while in an airplane cockpit at 10.000ft in Florida....

Amber saw the sun rise from a hot air balloon over the Serengeti in Africa...

The Man can: Teach you how to fly airplanes, cook you yummy pasta and other delicious meals, give you a logical answer to a problem or question.The Lady can: Show you how to play "tavla" aka backgammon....how to draw a pretty picture and other creative though not so imperative-to-life projects and activities :) Also she can show you some great American recipes that go beyond hamburgers and hotdogs...yes, we do have more than those...We want to learn: anything new and interesting. If you happen to know how to do Kiromasaje or how to play guitar...our interest is piqued!
