About Me

Hey there! I’m Alvaro, a Chilean traveler and a big believer that the best part of any journey is the people you meet along the way. After years of exploring Europe and beyond, I’ve been lucky enough to share some incredible moments with fellow Couchsurfers—many of whom have become lifelong friends.

I’m a passionate photographer and videographer, always on the lookout for the next beautiful shot, but I’m just as happy sitting down for a good conversation over coffee. You’ll often find me biking around town, playing some basketball, or just swapping stories about all the little adventures that make life interesting.

What do I bring to the table? A friendly, easygoing vibe and a genuine interest in getting to know you. I’ve got plenty of stories (and a couple of charming cats if you’re a pet lover!), and I’m always happy to help out with anything from practicing Spanish to sharing a homemade meal.

In short, I’m here because I love the Couchsurfing spirit—bringing people together from all corners of the world and making every trip a bit more memorable. Can’t wait to meet you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me, Couchsurfing is all about those genuine connections and the amazing stories we create together. It’s like an open door to the world, and I can’t wait to see who I’ll meet next.

Music, Movies, and Books

I’ve got pretty eclectic tastes—from rock bands like Deftones to laid-back indie tunes. I love discovering new music, movies, or books that others recommend, especially if they come with a great story or a reason why it’s special to them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once, I moved countries with two cats in tow and ended up on a little adventure when our van broke down in France. Thanks to the kindness of strangers, we made it safely to Kraków, and it’s a story I’ll never forget.

Teach, Learn, Share

I’m always happy to teach a bit of Spanish if you’re up for it! I’ve also picked up a few fun skills from my travels and I’m always eager to learn something new—whether it’s a local recipe, a bit of a new language, or a cool trick you’ve got up your sleeve.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I come with a friendly attitude, a willingness to help out, and a knack for making people laugh. I can whip up a decent meal, share travel tips, or just be a laid-back guest who respects your space. And if you love cats, you’ll definitely get along with mine!
