ABOUT ME

I'm genuine, and I love to meet new people. Striking up interesting conversations with interesting people is one of my favorite things to do. I have a multicultural and diverse background, I am an open person, and I am eager to explore more of the world and meet more of its people. I am considerate and caring, excited about the things I do, and a deep thinker. I am passionate about my research and it's one of my biggest priorities, but it is also important for me to relax, have fun, laugh with friends, and pursue my hobbies. I believe that balance is the key to a good life.

I am new to Couchsurfing and looking to explore the experience further!

Interests

I am currently doing a Ph.D. in a field that I love: population genetics and evolution research (within the more general field of genomics). I get to explore questions that intrigue me and use skills in statistics, probability, math and programming to analyze data and delve into the field. Though science is a passion of mine, I also have many other interests: music (piano playing in particular), photography, reading, writing, fitness & outdoors, travel, and spending time with others. I am fascinated by interesting ideas and interesting minds.
