ABOUT ME

I am originally from the Los Angeles area, but I also lived in Latin America for most of 2023 (Nicaragua for 2 months and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for 9 ½ months). I currently work as a teacher, but would like to switch careers soon.
I enjoy cooking, listening to music, dancing, hiking and of course, traveling. :-) I like meeting new people and learning about different cultures though the people I meet and the places I visit.
I am a clean person and like to keep my place tidy.
I love Los Angeles and taking advantage of all the fun (and usually free) events the city has to offer.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I used CS for my short trip to Washington, D.C. I had a positive experience. I hosted through CS once, but it wasn't a very good match. I think I'll stick to people who have positive reviews (rather than none) next time.
I used this site as a place to meet interest people who were living in Puerto Vallarta when I went this summer. I stayed with family so I didn't need a place to stay. However, it was nice to meet new friends. :-)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I first heard about this site through a Chilean-Canadian friend I met while I was working in Switzerland one summer. She told me she had had good luck with Couch Surfing and had even made a friend. It seems like a great community to be a part of if one enjoys traveling and meeting travelers.

I have not hosted many through CS, but I have had international guests stay at my house.
