ABOUT ME

Michelle and Bubba are a married couple from Anchorage, Alaska, USA. We finished up a tour in the United States Peace Corps stationed in a small village in Fiji. We stayed on in Fiji for an additional three years before moving to Nee Zealand where we've been living for the past five years. We are both very outgoing personalities and willing to learn and do new things.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I guess what this means is "how do we engage with others"? We try to participate by engaging others in conversation in a way that we can learn more about them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We have both scuba dived with manta rays and a variety of different sharks. We have snorkeled with California sea lions, whale sharks, and humpback whales. We have kayaked the majestic waters of Alaska and hiked through its rugged peaks.

Teach, Learn, Share

Bubba - I can teach about fly fishing, including how to tie flies. I can also teach home gardening techniques.
Michelle - I am told that I am a good cook. Like to make everything from scratch. For those living on islands, I can teach you how to produce high quality virgin coconut oil.

Engaging conversation and friendship. I am happy to reciprocate when you come to New Zealand.
