Overview
About Me
I am terrible at describing myself.
I love to cook and to eat and to do all sorts of things around food. I care a great deal about our planet and I have a great appreciation for beautiful containers.
I am very idealistic.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on Couchsurfing because I want to meet new people, get out of my comfort zone, learn from others, travel more economically...
Interests
Some constants have been: films and cinema (I'm trying to get into Italian cinema right now, maybe that will speed up learning the language, it's not going as well as I thought it would :P), maps and visualizations, long silent walks (alone or with others), outdoor activities, riding my bike and cooking (I can think of little things that bring me as much joy as this).
Music, Movies, and Books
In regards to music tend to listen to one artist at a time for long periods of time until I tire myself. Right now I'm really loving Sopico again with his unplugged sessions. I have been sleeping on rap, especially french rap.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I swam near a whale feeding her baby whale. It was ethereal (and slightly terrifying).
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to ferment foods, make bread, and make all sorts of edible things.
If you make any kind of food that is new to me or a bit technical, I would love to learn from you. I love multi-day food projects. If you are good with plants, please, teach me how to keep mine alive. I would also love to learn printmaking, that is going to be my next big personal project.
