Hello! I am brand new to couchsurfing, but I am so thrilled to be a part of this new community. I have lived in India for the past 18 months, but I am back in the States and thrilled to continue traveling. I just recently filled up an entire passport, so that was a huge life goal accomplished! More about me... I love food, I'm pretty active (like, an average amount - nothing crazy), and I absolutely love meeting new people. Travel is a huge part of my life, and I love sharing experiences with new friends I make all over the world. I grew up in Memphis, moved to Kansas for grad school, then to India with my husband's job. I'm moderately handy. I can drive a stick. I love to read. I'm an artist. I love board games and being crafty. I'm the oldest of six.

I usually travel with a buddy, but I am pretty independent, and I love to plan trips! My favorite places are hole-in-the-wall, mom and pop, speak the language, locals only places. Show me the places you like to go, the foods you like to eat, the places that have the best drinks, the live music you like to hear... I want to try it all!

And what better way to meet and get to know someone than by sleeping on their couch in their city! I filled up a passport in less than 2 years.

I got deported from India (long story - I would love to share it with you!).

I almost died white water kayaking in Nepal.

I swam with bioluminescent phytoplankton in Thailand (but have had the privilege of watching the waves light up with them off the coast of NorCal).

I had a moped in India (which I drove, regularly).

I'm very clean and respectful of others, their possessions, and their space. I was reared to leave a place better than I found it, so know that I will pick up after myself and keep the area clean. I don't cook, but I've noticed that a lot of couchsurfers do - I will gladly be the taster! I do bake, so if you like baked goods, I would love to bake for you. If you do cook, I'll bake and clean! I bring with me lots of stories of my travels, and I totally dig great conversation. I am open to trying all kinds of new things and experiences, so bring me with you!
