Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I will travel along the deepest canyons, the longest rivers, and the highest mountain peaks.
ABOUT ME
My friends would describe me as friendly, outgoing, and a lover of the outdoors. I can listen to people's stories for hours and days on end. I learn how to live from talking to people, traveling, making mistakes, and getting lost. "Voici mon secret. Il est tres simple: on ne voit bien qu'avec le coeur. L'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux." It means, "here is my secret. It is very simple: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye" and this is how I see the world.
Also..
I was an Environmental Studies student at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, MA.
PHILOSOPHY
I am a peregrine living on a cliff and wandering most days.
"...It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll.
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul."
-William Ernest Henley
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love to travel domestically in and around the United States. Meeting people from all over this country and having an amazing cup of hot chocolate while conversing with them is a good addition to a healthy diet. I am planning to travel more outside of the US as I figure out how I can do that with the small amount of money in my pocket and sustainably, with little carbon footprint as possible.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
No couch surfing experience yet but I would like to start as soon as possible! But met plenty of Couch Surfers through their events.
Interests
I enjoy hiking and being in the water. I love swimming. I play tennis and that's probably the one place where I feel very comfortable with myself. I enjoy the theater too as a member of the audience or on stage as an actress.
I love to watch films.
I enjoy exploring museums; I would love to work in one.
I love to cook and eat.
Activities: I love hiking, I walk a lot (here, there, and everywhere), I've played tennis for my college team and I like rock climbing.
I love talking to people about cultural, ethnical, and geographical differences and similarities in order to expand my understanding of the world we occupy.
On a side note: I have read a little bit about rock n' roll history that has made me very passionate about exploring more in this under-researched cultural phenomenon.
I love Led Zeppelin!
One day, I would love to own a dairy farm and fields of lavender.
