ABOUT ME

I love being surprised by the amazing variety of people I meet, especially when traveling. It's so refreshing to step out of my environment and breathe in beautiful and interesting and different ways of living and thinking.

My usual method of traveling involves a lot of aimless wandering, which I thoroughly enjoy, and it leaves room for meeting and hanging out with all sorts of entertaining people.

I surfed while traveling solo through Ireland. Also surfed in San Francisco. Hosted surfers in Branford, CT and Philadelphia, PA.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - oops, I already mentioned this.
Books - a wide variety. I'm sure I'm not the only CouchSurfer to enjoy the travelings and writings of Bill Bryson! Another recent favorite is Steve Martin's novel "An Object of Beauty". Speaking of funny people writing books, check out "The Gun Seller" by Hugh Laurie (i.e. Dr. House.)

I crave learning - astronomy, music, photography, languages, cooking
