Overview
About Me
I am french and half swedish student in Montreal who grew up in south of France (Toulouse). I've been in Montreal for three years now, and I also did an exchange student in 2015, when I've been able to live in Japan for 6 month.
I'm currently studying International Relations, with a specialization in conflict resolution and humanitarian issues. I believe that people from different fields can work together to prevent conflict to occur and to coordinate actions between NGO's to improve humanitarian assistance.
Nevertheless I am also really interested and sensible to environmental issues. I have been a vegetarian for 2 years for several reasons and I continue to believe that small actions together can make bigger changes. I'm therefor happy to live in Montreal where there is a large community of Vegan an Vegeterians.
I love to travel and to discover different cultures. I think to best way to do it is to stay with local people. I've always been amazed by Japanese culture, and studying in Japan for 5 months has been an incredible experience that I would be happy to share with anyone interested in japanese culture, language and religion.
I like to get out of my comfort zone and live in a different place for a longer time, so that I can learn the local language and culture. Therefore I plan to move from Montreal to Uppsala in Stockholm to continue my studies.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think couchsurfing is a very friendly and interesting way to meet people and share culture. Especially to be able to meet locals who can give you genuine advices about what to do, other than touristic activities.
I've only had one experience so far, which was really good and I would be happy to continue.
I think that, as a community of travellers, we all have a lot to share and discuss about.

My major is political science. But I like to go to concerts, listen to music, paint (when I take the time to do it) and most of all, travelling.
