About Me

Hey y'all! I'm 29yo originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico (Breaking Bad, anyone?). I've done a lot in my "short" time of adulthood including working as an EMT driving an ambulance, hiking around the Arizona wilderness as a wilderness therapy guide, spending a couple years in Hawaii to finish up my bachelor's degree, working as a tour guide in North Korea (yes, you read that right) until the US government told me I couldn't go back, travelling all over China for my work as an instructor for outdoor education, and currently living in Australia on working holiday. I'm addicted to Mexican food, gymnastics, and KGATLW.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here to travel, meet new people, and do cool things - just like most everyone else on here ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

Generally into Psych Rock, Surf Rock, generally 'beachy' sounding things, relaxing indie, rock bands with high pitched female singers, etc... although I consider myself pretty open about music taste in general. Favourite bands: King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Summer Salt, Modest Mouse, Father John Misty, Animal Collective, Bad Books.

Wasn't a huge movie person growing up but have been watching some old classics for the first time and gained a lot of new favourites like The Fly and Deliverance. Leon the Professional has been a favourite for a long time. Aladdin is my favourite Disney and Miss Congeniality is my fav "chick-flick".

I don't typically read fiction, but I love reading books about history/international politics. Currently reading: Trainspotting.
