My name is Amanda and I am a current PhD student at the University of Florida studying the topic of Religion and Nature. I am an avid outdoors woman and like to hike, kayak, and (am learning to) rock climb.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couch surfing because I am getting ready to travel across the United States! I will be preparing for my comprehensive exams this summer, and thought that there would be no better way to do so than to be in nature while I am reading and prepping for exams. Along with my friend, we will be traveling through the western US and visiting most of the national parks, camping along the way. We are looking to couch surf in between times while we are traveling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent two weeks last summer in Bergen, Norway for a research program about climate change and global water resources. After that program I spent a week hiking in the fjords and visiting friends in Oslo! It was an amazing adventure.
