Helllllllo! My name is Amanda, and I am originally from Georgia. I have been in Austin, TX for 6 years. My family didn't travel, and I didn't get on my first plane until turning 22, so I am making up for lost time. I have done a fair amount of traveling in the US, and am trying to get into some more international traveling. My boyfriend and I recently got back from Ecuador, so I got to hit my 3rd continent at 30. I love sweet tea, good food, animals, and interesting people.

Since my first Airbnb experience, I have rarely stayed in hotels when I travel. I decided that getting to hang out with someone local is a way better, and more memorable experience. One of my favorite memories will always be one of the nights I hung out with my hosts in Ireland. We were accompanied by a few other travelers staying there, and everyone was drinking wine, eating good food, and discussing the world. Very interesting to see point of views from different cultures. I am newer to the Couchsurfing community, and excited to meet some more people from here.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I was planning a trip to Costa Rica, and was going to go alone, but I decided to invite someone who I did not know very well that i had meet at a meetup.com event. We went on a week long trip together and had the best time, one of my favorite trips ever. Good people do not always great traveling companions make; however, we got along great and he is now one of my best friends.
